There are two review books that are good and I strongly recommend that you get one. The choice is yours. Peruse through them and decide which you prefer but get one early in the year because they are useful for your unit tests. They are:
1. Cracking the AP HUman Geography Exam by Princeton Review
2. Barron's AP Human Geography
Try and get the latest editions if possible.
We always have review sessions the day before a test. These are held in my room from 1-2 pm and also at Starbucks on Club Drive (near Sprouts) from 5:30 - 7:30 pm to accommodate those with after school sports/club activities. I strongly encourage you to attend these if possible.

My name is Roma Jagdish and I have been teaching this course for the last four years. It is a fun introductory Advanced Placement class for freshmen and will provide you with the necessary skills, not to mention world class content, to prepare you for 10th, 11th and 12th grade levels.
We have started our unit on Agriculture. This unit usually fascinates the kids as they learn more about the food they eat, where they are produced and how they are produced. We will be having a chocolate simulation as a build-up to Valentine's Day.

There is an application for AP HUman Geo available if you are interested. It is called iScore5 APHUG from the App store. It has great practice questions for both MCQs and FRQs.
World Day 31st March 2020 (Periods 3-4)
We will be celebrating World Fair Day where students will be presenting their Country Project. I am working on getting some funding for the multi-grade level activity and also working on details of the project. Students have already created their groups and received the project outline. They will need help sometimes in meeting outside of class to work on their project.We are excited as this is the first time we are doing a project for AP Human Geography at a larger scale.

Current Events Article is due the 5 minutes of class every Friday. It is always on the chapter that we are studying. Make it a point to be up-to-date with current events as this will greatly help you with the course. You should be reading The Economist and listening to BBC news as these are great sources to learn about world issues that are relevant for AP Human Geography.
